THE EPT-X SEASON BEGINS
When the EPT season got its kick off last weekend, now it is time for the very first EPT-X event. The inaugural event for the EPT-X season will be The Welsh Open, played at the absolutely beautiful Felin Geri disc golf paradise in Wales.
There will be post-production video coverage from all three rounds, produced by the Central Coast Disc Golf.
FIRST ROUND ON SATURDAY 30th
EPT-X The Welsh Open presented by Launch Disc Golf is a 3-day event and the EVENT program starts today (Friday 29th) with practice day. Three competition rounds will be played and the first round is scheduled for Saturday 30th. Final round will be played on Monday 2nd of May. Scores can be followed through PDGA live scoring.
The Felin Geri course is a 22 hole course playing around the valley of the river Ceri. At just 12 holes it was one of the highest rated courses in Europe on Udisc. Another 10 holes were designed in the wooden hillside and opened in summer 2021. Tournament layout will include 18 holes.

WHO WILL BE THE CHAMPION?
The field in Welsh Open consists mostly of British players and for that reason we might see a local champion in Wales. Joe O’Brien is the highest rated (1015) player and he is definitely the biggest favorite. Of course there are a lot of challengers, Connor McHale, Noah Smithson, Matt Parslow and Simon Luard to name a few. We are going to have an exciting battle!
The highest female division will be FA1. There we will see a three-way battle between British trio Natalie Eykyn, Elva-Kate Preston and Melodie Zehnder.
