In true Tyyni fashion, the weather was far from calm, despite the event’s name meaning “calm” in Finnish. Rain and breezy winds added excitement to the final day, but it couldn’t deter the players from putting up a show. The gallery grew as spectators gathered to witness the action, and they were not disappointed. There were some more Tyyni moments like an incredible Ace on hole 8 by Oiva Päivänsalo. All in all it was a fantastic weekend of disc golf!
In the FPO division, Rachel Turton displayed the composure and skill of a true professional, claiming a well-deserved victory with a total score of -4. Rachel has been in top form this season and shows no signs of slowing down. Heidi Laine closely trailed in second place, delivering a great performance with a total score of -1. Anneli Tõugjas-Männiste secured the third spot with a score of E, while Olivia Kindstedt showcased her talent and finished with a total score of +2.
The MPO division saw an intense battle between Jesse Nieminen and Lauri Lehtinen throughout the day. The tension lasted until the final hole, with Lauri holding a narrow one-stroke lead. In a gripping conclusion, Jesse couldn’t capitalize, taking a double bogey, which allowed Lauri to secure victory for the second consecutive year at Tyyni, finishing with an impressive total score of -24. Jesse followed closely with a total score of -21. Mikael Häme, yesterday’s leader, maintained a strong performance to take third place with a score of -20, while Silver Lätt secured the fourth spot with a total score of -19.
