The Belgian Open reached moving day under the continued warm weather, and the second round provided an abundance of amazing highlights. The FPO Lead Card played well, resulting in a tie for the lead between Heidi Laine and Anneli Tõugjas-Männiste. Meanwhile, the MPO Lead Card delivered a showcase of talent, with remarkable circle 2 putts from the whole lead card. However, it was Teemu Talikainen who stole the spotlight, setting the course ablaze and claiming the top position. We also witnessed the first ACE of the season by Tom Erik K Steen on hole 3, hopefully many more to come. Overall, the atmosphere at the Belgian Open remained vibrant throughout the day and as the tournament progresses into the final round stay tuned to see who will claim victory at the Belgian Open.

Second Round FPO Results

Heidi Laine and Anneli Tõugjas-Männiste were in a league of their own today, with Heidi shooting +1 (total score +4) and Anneli shooting +4 (total score +4). Heidi and Anneli will be joined for the final round by Tinja Väisäsnen ( total score+13) and Laura Posch ( total score+13). The FPO Lead Card showcased some smooth drives and nice highlight putts like Anneli’s clutch putt on hole 18. Tune in tomorrow to see who will take the home the title.

Second Round MPO Results

The MPO Feature Card provided us with some amazing highlights including multiple circle 2 putts from the whole card. At the end of the day, Teemu Talikainen stayed cool under the pressure and shot a fantastic round of -11 (total -19), almost breaking the course record. Otto Mäkinen continued his strong performance, shooting a round of -8 (total -17). Teemu and Otto will be joined tomorrow for the final round by Rasmus Saukkoriipi (-15) and Ville Ahokas (total -13). Tune in tomorrow to see if Teemu can keep up his spectacular pace.

The Course

The course Parc Du Bourdon has a total length of 2374m and features long and narrow wooded fairways with multiple par 4s. Transportation to the course is a breeze, with various options available either taking a train, hoping on a bus, or driving yourself.

Located in the picturesque town of Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium, this event not only offers high quality disc golf but also charming surroundings. Braine-l’Alleud is situated just south of Brussels, the vibrant capital city of Belgium. The town is renowned for its rich history and stunning architecture, providing a captivating backdrop for the Belgian Open. Braine-l’Alleud is known for its beautiful landscapes, with lush green fields, rolling hills, and quaint countryside. The proximity to Brussels, only 20 minutes away, allows visitors to easily explore the attractions, cultural landmarks, and the culinary scene the capital has to offer.

Recap of Copenhagen Open:

The EPT Copenhagen Open concluded with an exhilarating final day filled with impressive performances. Kaidi Allsalu continued her dominance in the FPO division, capturing the win with a superb round of +3 and a total score of +12. In the closely contested MPO division, Mauri Villmann emerged as the victor after a thrilling sudden-death playoff against Samuel Hänninen, showcasing nerves of steel and exceptional skill. The competition was filled with memorable moments, remarkable putts, and intense battles.
