Moving day at the EPT Copenhagen Open in Valbyparken did not disappoint, with the top players in the FPO and MPO divisions turning up the heat on a chilly day. Despite the continuing cold and windy conditions, the players played well with multiple highlights throughout the day. Near Aces were the theme of the day with Heidi Laine hitting the rim on hole 7, Kaidi Allsalu hitting the basket on hole 5 and Otto Mäkinen hitting the pole on hole 9! Pyry Joutsen smashed the course today with a score of -11 achieving a preliminary rating of 1056!! The fire department even made an appearance, maybe due to the reported Hot Rounds…
In the FPO division, Kaidi Allsalu continued her impressive performance from the first day, shooting a round of +4 to maintain her top spot with a total score of +9. Jenni Karppinen put in a strong performance, shooting +4 to rise 6 spots and take second place with a total score of +15. Silva Saarinen shot +7, bringing her total score to +16 and earning her third place. Anneli Tõugjas-Männiste shot +9, tying with Silva for third place with a total score of +16. Lets see if Kaidi can keep cool and take home the Champion title.
In the MPO division, Daniel Davidsson, Samuel Hänninen and Mauri Villmann have a three way tie for the lead with a score of -13. The trio will be joined tomorrow on the feature card by Hjalmar Fredriksson who played well and rose 12 spots to take fourth place. There was lots of movement on moving day in the MPO. Leader Daniel Davidsson managed to play a bogey free round in the wind, maybe the military training isn’t that bad after all.
The EPT Copenhagen Open can truly be described as an international event, as during a moment in the competition, the top positions were held by representatives of 5 different nationalities. The excitement is building as the tournament enters its final day, and the players are sure to bring their A-game to the course as they battle for the title. You don’t want to miss the Final Day of the EPT Copenhagen Open!

The Course:
The course is varied and very challenging featuring both long, open, and narrow holes. The par for the course is 64 with a total length of 2492 meters. There are nine par 3 holes, eight par 4, and one par 5 with an average hole length of 138 meters. Hole 5 plays as an island hole and there are mandatories on holes 1, 4, 8, 10 and 14. There will be clearly marked arrows on the respective trees, mandatory lines on the grass, and drop zones on hole 1, 8, 10 and 14.

Watch and Participate:
Spectators are very welcome on all three days. Besides watching the players compete on the course it will be possible to try disc golf related activities in vicinity of the course: Learn different tricks, throws, putts and win prizes. Please visit the tournament center in the tent close to the course for more information. As in traditional golf the players are extremely focused during play so we urge spectators to stay quiet during throws/putts and to keep their phones on silent mode. We invite everyone to gather around the holes to watch the tournament, but ask for people not to cross the field of play during action.
