Moving day at the EPT Järva Open brought a remarkable change in weather, transforming from overcast skies to a warm and sun-kissed day with temperatures soaring up to 24 degrees. The players took full advantage of the conditions, and Järva Disc Golf Park continued with its magic. The highlight of the day was the Hypeman Tomi Tikko getting an incredible 148m ace on hole 6, adding an extra dose of excitement to the event. Although the moment wasn’t caught on camera, the buzz was undeniable. By the end of the day, two players emerged as the leaders: Olivia Kindstedt in FPO and Luke Humphries in MPO.
In the FPO division, Olivia Kindstedt showcased her dominance, delivering a hot round of -4 to claim the lead with an impressive total of -4. The only contender who managed to keep up with Olivia’s pace was Anneli Tougjas-Männiste, trailing behind by five strokes with a total of +1. The duo will be accompanied by Sofie Björlycke at +2 and Tinja Väisänen at +4 on the final day. As the pressure intensifies, tune in tomorrow to see if Olivia can maintain her hold on the top spot.
Meanwhile, in the MPO division, the spotlight fell on the American players and local talent Henric Hagman. Luke Humphries made his presence felt by storming into the lead with a great performance, shooting an impressive -8 to amass a total of -16. Right on his tail, Henric Hagman proved his skill, chasing Luke with a score of -14. The thrilling chase also includes Alden Harris and Kevin Jones, both trailing closely at -13. With such fierce competition, the final showdown promises to be an edge-of-the-seat experience.

The Course
Järva Disc Golf Park, a legendary course in Stockholm, belongs to the top 10 of the World’s Best Disc Golf Courses, ranking at #9 in 2023. Founded in 1995 on a reclaimed dump site, the park features a full 18-hole course and a 9-hole short course, making it accessible year-round. Known for its signature par 4 hole 12, Järva showcases sweeping fairways, wooded areas, and picturesque landscapes. Players laud the course for its strategic challenges and stunning aesthetics, solidifying its place as a disc golf gem globally.

At the EPT Turku Open, the players brought their A-game to Luolavuori DGP, showcasing skill and determination throughout the tournament. The competition was fierce, with each player vying for the top spot on the leaderboard and we even got to see our first ACE on Disc Golf Stream! In the end, Rachel Turton emerged as the champion in the FPO division with an impressive overall score of -3. Meanwhile, Jesse Nieminen dominated the MPO division, securing a remarkable victory with an overall score of -32.
