The Nokia Open continued with a beautiful sunny day, as summer arrived in Nokia, Finland. The pleasant weather set the stage for an exciting moving day, filled with insane highlights including Kristian Kuoksa’s huge Eagle on hole 7 and Daniel Davidsson’s incredible ace run on hole 9. The vibes were great and the competition in both divisions remained intense. Mauri Villmann and Heidi Laine are in the lead going into the final day and disc golf greatness is guaranteed.
In the FPO division, Heidi Laine showcased her consistent performance and unwavering focus. With a solid round of +5, she claimed the lead for the final day, boasting a total score of +10. Olivia Kindstedt also displayed excellent form, demonstrating smooth drives throughout the day and shooting a matching round of +5. She secured second place with a total score of +14. Joining them on the final day will be Silva Saarinen (+14) and Tinja Väisänen (+15), ensuring a great day of live action tomorrow on DGS.
On the MPO side, the lead and chase card showcased an impressive display of talent, leaving spectators captivated by their skills. Mauri Villmann continued his phenomenal performance, taming the challenging BEAST once again with an impressive round of -10. Holding a commanding lead, Villmann sits atop the leaderboard with a total score of -17. Close behind is Daniel Davidsson, who sits in second place with a score of -13. They will be joined on the final day by Lauri Lehtinen (-12) and Jesse Nieminen (-9), setting the stage for an exhilarating showdown.

With some holes dialing up the difficulty factor, players will need to bring their A-game and strategize their shots carefully. Recap of the Estonian Open:
The Estonian Open 2023 concluded with excitement and impressive performances from the players. Teele Toomsalu’s remarkable journey from qualifying just a few days prior to kick off and then taking victory in the FPO division captured the attention of disc golf enthusiasts worldwide, highlighting the importance of dedication and skill. Mauri Villmann took the victory in the MPO division with an impressive overall score of -32 and a 6 stroke lead to to Ville Ahokas. Mauri Villmann’s outstanding performance in the MPO division solidified his spot as one of the best in Europe. All in all, the vibes at the Estonian Open were great despite the cold weather and a large gallery of spectators showed up on all three days!
