In a thrilling finale of the EPT Turku Open, the final day was filled with sunshine, an enthusiastic gallery, and scorching performances from the players. While there were no huge highlights like the ace from the previous day, the competition was filled with numerous smaller highlights. In the end, Jesse Nieminen and Rachel Turton emerged as the well-deserved champions after an exciting day of disc golf.

In the FPO division, the round started off at a steady pace. Rachel Turton showcased her consistent form, steering clear of any costly mistakes and ultimately clinching the victory with an impressive overall score of -3. Tinja Väisänen put on a great performance, securing a second place finish with a total score of par. Silva Saarinen claimed the third spot at +1, while Olivia Kindstedt encountered a few setbacks towards the end, settling for fourth place with a total score of +5.

The battle in the MPO division was nothing short of intense. Jesse Nieminen delivered a truly standout performance, capturing one of the most significant victories of his career with an impressive overall score of -32. Despite a great effort, closely trailing Lauri Hämäläinen couldn’t quite catch up, though his impressive trick shot on hole 14 added to the excitement. Mikael Häme joined Lauri in second place after a strong round today, while Joonas Aalto secured the fourth position with a total score of -27.
