The weather may have cooled down, but the action on the course remained hot during the second day of the EPT Tyyni Open. Despite occasional rain showers, the players showed their resilience and delivered some thrilling moments on the moving day. We got to also see an ACE as Joni Peltonen shot an incredible shot on hole 12. However, the day also witnessed some unexpected turns, like Heidi Laine’s five-bogey rollercoaster on the notorious final hole, which cost her the leading position. As the dust settles, Rachel Turton and Mikael Häme emerge as the frontrunners heading into the final day.

In the FPO division, Heidi Laine and Rachel Turton showcased their skills, neck and neck until the very last hole. It was Rachel who kept her composure, delivering a scorching round of -6 and carrying a total score of -5 into the final day. Anneli Tõugjas-Männiste also showed a strong performance, shooting a round of +1 and securing the second spot with a total score of -2. Joining them on the final day will be Heidi Laine, determined to bounce back from her final hole setback, and Kaidi Allsalu, whose impressive back nine propelled her to a total score of +1. The stage is set for an exhilarating final showdown.

On the MPO side, Mikael Häme continued his blazing-hot streak, remaining flawless with a bogey-free round of -9. With a commanding three-stroke lead and a total score of -20, he heads into the final day as the one to beat. Lauri Lehtinen also showcased his prowess, posting an impressive round of -10, bringing his total score to -17. They will be joined on the lead card by Jesse Nieminen, who sits at a total score of -15, and Silver Lätt, not far behind with a total score of -14.
