Tight battle for the win in MPO

The third round of Järva Open was more than exciting and spectators got to witness tight battles in both divisions. In MPO Kunt Håland and Niklas Anttila started tied for the final round. Håland showed immediately that he is here for the win, scoring -6 on first seven holes. Also Anttila started very well (-4 for the first seven), but that wasn’t enough for catching the flying Norwegian. These two guys had a tight battle until the end. Anttila tried his best, but Håland did no mistakes and the championship of Järva Open went to Norwegian. If you throw three bogey-free rounds in Järva, your victory is deserved. Håland’s final score was 160 throws, just two strokes ahead of Anttila.

There was a tight battle also for the third place between several players. Emanuel Bengts (SWE) and Øyvind Jarnes (NOR) succeeded best on final round and they climbed to tied third place from chase card, both scoring -7 on final round. The big success for Norwegian players was completed by Håkon Kveseth’s fifth place. Three Norwegians in TOP 5! I Stockholm by, der herjer vi…

Tattar took victory in FPO

In FPO Sofie Björlycke started in the lead for the final round, with three-stroke lead over Kristin Tattar. Both started well and Sofie kept her lead after front-9. On the back-9 Kristin showed why she is the number 1 in the world at the moment.  Solid playing and while Sofie had some problems on back-9, the Estonian cruised for the victory. Kristin’s total score was 189 throws and Sofie’s 193 throws, four strokes separating these two.

There was a tight battle also for the third place. Anniken Steen was cruising for the podium place, but on back-9 she started to have small problems and Silva Saarinen from chase card was getting closer. Silva scored a solid +3 round, but it wasn’t just enough. Anniken’s +9 was good enough to secure the third place by one stroke gap.
