ANINKAINEN READY FOR EPT TURKU OPEN
The final event of inaugural European Pro Tour starts on Friday at the absolutely beautiful Aninkainen course. Everything is set up on the course, media crew is doing prepations, event crew is working hard and players are taking their practice rounds. Turku Open is ready to kick off in sunny weather. Who will take the victory in this fifth stop of EPT? Who will be crowned for the Tour Champions?

HÄME OR HÄME FOR THE TOUR VICTORY?
In Open Division things are getting exciting when it comes to tour standings and crowning the tour champions. Current tour leader newly-crowned Finnish Champion Niklas Anttila and Lauri Lehtinen (currently second) are not able to join this event and that opens chance for the Häme Brothers to battle for the tour championship. Mikael Häme is currently only 21,5 points behind the leading Anttila. Joonatan Häme has got a bit bigger gap to Anttila, but still having the chance to take the championship. Of course, the Häme brothers needs success in Turku, otherwise Anttila will be crowned to Tour Champion. Current standings can be found HERE.
As said, Häme brothers needs to succeed if they want the tour victory. It won’t be easy at the Aninkainen course as the field is filled with talented players. Players like Jesse Nieminen, Tuomas Hyytiäinen, Seppo Paju, Luukas Rokkanen and Daniel Davidsson are definitely hungry for success and nothing else than number one spot at Turku Open is enough. Or are we going to see surprise winner from the young locals (Severi Saviniemi, Otto Mäkinen, Niilo Hongisto etc.) playing on their home course? Don’t miss this battle – watch it live at the course or from the Disc Golf Stream.

THREE-WAY BATTLE IN FPO
In the Women’s Open Division Heidi Laine has already confirmed the Tour Championship and she decided to rest over this event before heading to United States. Tour standings can be found HERE. Maybe affected by the previous weekend with Finnish, Swedish and Estonian nationals, or the unreachable tour championship, unfortunately there are only three women joining this event. Nevertheless we are going to see quality disc golf as the young Finns – Silva Saarinen, Jenni Karppinen and Olivia Kindstedt – will chase for their very first European Pro Tour victory here in Turku.
