LAST EVENT OF EPT SEASON
European Pro Tour is getting its grande finale when the EPT All-Stars event kicks off on Thursday, November 17th. Imagine top European players challenging each other under the Spanish sun. That is EPT All-Stars.
The event takes place at the beautiful Mijas DiscGolfPark, located right next to Fuengirola town in Costa del Sol, Spain. Players have been awarded All-Stars spots through the EPT2022 season and almost all the best European players are joining this event. A lot of quality disc golf coming up. WHO’S GONNA WIN THE ALL-STARS CROWN?
Well, that is not an easy question to answer. The field in this event is quite small (about 40 players), but loaded with European top players and amazing talents. The list of possible winners are very long, but let’s take a look for the biggest champion candidates.
In Open division (MPO) biggest favorites are reigning European Pro Tour Champion Mikael Häme (FIN) and PDGA Euro Tour 2022 champion Jakub Semerad (CZE). This two tour champions will be challenged by the Norwegian duo Knut Håland and Øyvind Jarnes and young Finnish stars like Niilo Hongisto, Daniel Davidsson and Rasmus Saukkoriipi. Mathias Villota and Rasmus Metsamaa from Estonia can’t be forgot in this case. And how about Joe O’Brien (UK), Hjalte Jensen (DEN), Henric Hagman (SWE)… The list of favorites is endless.
In Women’s Open division (FPO) we might see a three-way battle between EPT champion Heidi Laine (FIN), Estonian Keiti Tätte and newly crowned British champion Rachel Turton. This trio will be challenged by two Finns (Jenni Karppinen and Silva Saarinen), two Swedes (Jenny Larsson and Elina Rydberg) and one Estonian (Kaire Tekku).
